Dancing and Communication
How do you communicate? Most people would answer this question with; texting, or talking. You probably text your friend an emoji and that explains exactly how your feeling. That is probably the most boring way to express yourself. You should know that there are many more ways to express yourself. For example some people use art to express what there feeling or going through in the most creative ways. Like on this website http://www.wallpapersak.com/creative-art-2/ you can see so many creative pieces that make you really think. I believe that when you are communicating something important people can just understand what your saying.
Last week we watched a video about the LXD dancers which made me realize something about dancing. The dancers we learned about had there own nicknames and styles they were all extremely unique. I feel like dancing is a way to show your uniqueness but not have to think about. Don't you agree? When your favorite song comes on the radio don't you just move. Dancing is like communicating what the music makes you feel with what you feel inside. Sometimes I can't write what I think down or paper or speak it so dancing is very helpful. Hey
, I'm not saying I'm a dancer but Im pretty sure every teenager dances. Dance is a release of the would and mind you feel free!
What is really communication? Is it a way of just speaking words to people or is it a way of releasing your thoughts. I believe it is both. The first one is the modernized version of communication. I know that sounds confusing but let me explain. God lets us communicate because we have to be able to say what we want or need but we also need to be able to "say" what we're feeling.
Then comes the question what is the right type of dancing? Dancing can be good but sometimes It can be vulgar. So when do we know when to stop? Music makes your body feel and move and sometimes it might be hard to control. So then is dancing really expressing yourself. If there are rules and guidelines I don't believe it is expression. You have to feel free to be able to express yourself but if your worried that when you hear this song you'll move the wrong way then how is that free. This comes to my next point. We have to watch what we listen to. Some people will say well that's how they express themselves in there music but to me that is malarky. I don't believe that artists need to use extreme language over and over in a song because what point are you trying to make? This to me is not considered a song because I feel like it's just an excuse to say a couple bad words in a song to make you seem cool. I apologize for my very confusing blog post, I tried my best. Yikes!
